What about Galatia? It was a Celtic land. Does any one know if there were bards, vatis, or Druids there?

Bards, Vates & Druids all existed and flourished in pre-roamn culture in Gaul. Back before the Gaels were driven from Gaul and ended up in Ireland, if memory serves.

          Great read:
          'Bard' by Morgan Llywelyn
The coming of the Irish to Ireland from the Iberian Peninsula, Gaelicia [NW Spain]. Featuring the Milesians, Amergin, Brehon Law and all kinds of fascinating stuff. I highly recomend it.

I'm also planning on reading the book of Galations to see if I can catch any insights to celtic society.....although I did hear it was a bit preachy....

OK, correct me if I am wrong here. Didn't the Celts settle pretty much all of Europe, but because they were more into the arts and developing intellectulally instead of militarially, they were overthrown by the different tribes that came later who cared more about military might?

Well even the gauls of france were celts. The Keltoi as the Romans called them were pretty much everywhere.

Not exactly, Shamus. The Celts were quite militaristic...their main downfall was their tribal nature. They were too fragmented to withstand the unity of the Roman Legions, Anglo-Saxons, etc...who had a more central power structure.
